Bekir Bozdag has been appointed as one of the four deputy prime ministers in the 61st Council of Ministers.
Bozdag was born in Yozgat in 1965. He graduated from Uludag University Theology Faculty and Selcuk University Law School. He also had a master's degree on history of religions from Uludag University.
With the foundation of Justice and Development (AK) Party he became one of the founders in Yozgat. He was first elected lawmaker in the 22nd parliament and served as a member of Justice Commission.
He was the deputy group chairman of AK Party in the parliament. He speaks intermediate level English and Arabic and is married with two children.
