Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu on Thursday held separate phone conversations with top officials from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Arab League, all of which focused on the war in Syria.
Davutoğlu talked to Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal and Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Elaraby over the phone to discuss the latest developments in Syria and in the region.
The Turkish foreign minister also spoke to his Jordanian counterpart Nasser Judeh in the last week and was set to visit to the country on Friday at Judeh's invitation.
Davutoğlu also exchanged views with US Secretary of State John Kerry on the Syrian crisis over the course of three telephone conversations this week.
One of the phone calls came after Kerry's visit to Moscow where he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.Last Mod: 11 Mayıs 2013, 10:48
