Turkish education minister has said a problem in the recognition of university degrees between Turkey and Azerbaijan would be solved in a short time.
Nabi Avci met Wednesday with his Azeri counterpart Mikayil Jabbarov in Baku and they appeared in a joint press conference, expressing the two countries' willingness to improve their relations in education.
Avci said the cooperation agreement was aimed at increasing the number of Turkish students in Azerbaijan and Azeri students in studying in Turkey, as well as exchange students and lecturers between two countries.
Avci also issued a warning for Azeri students against fake education consultancy firms in Turkey that might pledge enrollment in Turkish university programs without having to take a proper university entrance test.
"Some companies deceive students to get their money. Those who want to get education in Turkey should contact either the universities or Turkey's Embassy in Baku," Avci said.
During his 2-day visit in Baku, Avci also visited the Turkish School in Baku.
