Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) should be reformed.

Because the destiny of humanity is on the hands of only five permanent members of this council, added Erdogan who came together with the representatives of Turkish and Muslim societies in the United States on Sunday.

All members of the UNSC should be permanent, and they should be rotating once a year or two, said Erdogan, adding that there should be representatives of all continents and religions in the Council.

Current UNSC does not have representatives from all continents and religions so it cannot dispense justice, he noted.

"Today, the destiny of Syria is in the hands of two countries, and Syria cannot be intervened in. Can you believe that so far nearly 100,000 people have been killed, and 283 missiles have been launched on them. Planes keep bombing and tanks keep coming at people. Only in my country, there are currently 300,000 Syrians staying," said Erdogan.
