A group of 100 PKK members based near the border have crossed into Northern Iraq. It has been learned that they went to the PKK camps at Zap and Hakurk near the border.

It has been understood that this group withdrew from the region to avoid the risk of clashing with troops.

The PKK members located in higher altitudes with severe winter conditions will gradually withdraw to camps in Northern Iraq toward summer.

It has been learned that the PKK members will head to the Qandil Mountains, and to the Qamishli region in Syria.
