For the first time in Turkey, waste water will be disinfected and reused.
Turkish Ministry of Forestry and Water Works stated that their project of disinfecting the waste water to reclaim in the agricultural irrigation will be applied soon.
According to a statement released from the ministry, joint project with the Dutch government for the "reuse of the disinfected domestic waste water in the agricultural irrigation project" will take start in September.
The pilot project will be applied in the Akarcay basin in central Anatolia. In the scope of this, the waste water which comes out from the Municipality of Afyonkarahisar waste water treatment facility will be reused.
Domestic waste water will be used in the agriculture irrigation after being disinfected with latest technology.
