In two years time, Turkey's Housing Administration (TOKI) completed its disaster relief housing and social facilities project, which was planned after the flood disaster in Pakistan.
Muhammad Zubair Motiwala, Chairman Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) in Pakistan, came together with TOKI Chairman Ahmet Haluk Karabel in the Turkish capital Ankara on Thursday.
Motiwala was informed about the wide range of TOKI projects by Karabel.
For the victims of the tsunami in 2004, TOKI set up 500 homes with social facilities in Sri Lanka and 1050 homes in the Banda Aceh province of Indonesia and put them into service.
After the flooding in Pakistan in 2010, TOKI started working on a large-scale project of 4,620 homes and 37 social facility areas in 2011. Moreover, in Somalia, TOKI continues on another project of a hospital with a 200 bed capacity and a vocational nurse high school.
During their meeting, Motiwala stated they would like TOKI's support and to learn from their experiences.
He invited TOKI to invest in Pakistan and said that, in the scope of building houses in his country, they will take TOKI as a model.Last Mod: 01 Şubat 2013, 17:06
