It has been claimed that three ministers from Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) have submitted their resignations to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to Abdulkadir Selvi from Turkey’s Yeni Safak, Interior Minister Muammer Guler, Environment and Urbanization Minister Erdogan Bayraktar and Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan resigned after their sons were arrested on corruption and bribery charges on Tuesday.

The report, which states that the resignations were declared verbally, also said that Prime Minister Erdogan was preparing a reshuffling of the cabinet after Friday.

It is predicted that anywhere between 7 and 12 ministers will be changed during the reshuffling.
