The leader of the Turkish MHP, Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi, the far right Nationalist Movement Party resigned earlier in the evening and then retracted his resignation.

The leader of the CHP, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, leader of the Turkish Republican party said in a speech in Ankara:

"The emerging picture shows that the CHP has far more responsibility.

The CHP has also experienced positive changes and will continue in a stable manner.

No one should see himself above the law. Every citizen's life and property safety should be ensured. So far, we have always to be beside the oppressed, then we will continue with the oppressed"
