Turkey has condemned the Copenhagen attacks which saw two people shot dead and five wounded.

"We strongly condemn the terror attacks perpetrated against a cafe and a synagogue in Copenhagen. We extend our condolences to the brotherly Danish people, convey our sympathies to their families and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

The Foreign Ministry also condemned the attacks in Libya, saying the incident shows the importance of building a national government in Libya.

"The most appropriate answer to stave off terror will be the contribution to the dialogue process and the fast construction of a national government in Libya by all Libyans," the ministry said.

A new video emerged on Sunday showing the execution of 21 Egyptian workers in neighboring Libya by masked men purportedly belonging to a branch of ISIL.

The video shows a group of militants standing behind the 21 men who dressed in orange jumpsuits. The location is thought to be along the coast from the Libyan capital, Tripoli. The masked militants then cut off the heads of the 21 men.

"All people, recently you have seen us on the hills of al-Sham (the Levant) and on Dabeq's plains, chopping off the heads of those who have been carrying the cross for a long time," one militant says in the video.

Earlier on Sunday, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi asked Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to keep state institutions on high alert to secure the release of the 21 Egyptian Christians who had been kidnapped in Libya.
