Ziad Abu Ein suffocated to death Wednesday when he was exposed to Israeli tear gas, which was used to disperse a Palestinian protest in the West Bank town of Turmus Ayya.
Abu Ein was a high-ranking Palestine Liberation Organization official, whose portfolio was equivalent to that of a government minister. He was also in charge of the Israeli settlements file at the organization.
"This is a result of Israel's aggressive attitude," Cavusoglu said. "Israel is bombing Gaza one day and the next day, they kill women and children. They bomb schools and hospitals. The most holy places of the Muslim people are being attacked by Israel."
"We believe that the international community is going to be more sensitive, more clear and more determined about Israel's aggressive attitude," Cavusoglu added.
