Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag said Friday that public hospitals would not be privatized.
Asked about media reports claiming that the government would privatize public hospitals, Akdag said such reports were false.
"We are trying to make public hospitals better and improve public health services," he said.
Turkish government is working on a reform for administration of public hospitals, Akdag said, adding that it would allow decentralization in hospitals.
"None of the public hospitals will be privatized," he said.
