Turkey's main secularist opposition party leader said on Monday that early elections was the way out of a political party if its regulations and laws were annulled by the Constitutional Court.
Kemal Kilicdaroglu, chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP), said if a political party believed in democracy and if the regulations and laws it insisted on were annulled, the only way out for that party was early elections.
"CHP is ready, and Justice & Development (AK) Party can bring forth early elections if it trusts itself," Kilicdaroglu told a televised interview.
Kilicdaroglu said the AK Party was face to face with a serious loss of confidence.
The Constitutional Court of Turkey will meet on Tuesday to debate the request for annulment of the constitutional amendment law, and will decide whether or not to hear the case if it sees no deficiencies in the file.
