The parliament is scheduled to begin the next legislative term on October 1, following a 2.5-month of recess.

Turkish Parliament is scheduled to begin the new term on Tuesday, following a 2.5-month of recess.

The general assembly will convene at 0300 pm (local time) after an official ceremony.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul will deliver an opening speech of the parliament, which will be the final as a president.

The first week of the parliament will be busy with memorandum on Syria.

The memorandum is expected to be discussed on Wednesday.

The final session of the Turkish parliament had been held on July 14.
