The Turkish president on Tuesday said, terrorism could be countered by mobilizing all resources, not only by weapons, joining the hot debate.
An opposition party claimed that the goverment bargained with militant PKK that recently renewed its ceasefire.
Turkey's President Abdullah Gul said that Turkish nation and state were fighting against terrorism with all their resources.
"What is important is to end terrorism and stop terrorism from being a threat against Turkey," Gul told reporters in Istanbul.
Gul defined terrorism as Turkey's biggest trouble, and said terrorism had claimed many lives in Turkey so far.
President Gul said Turkey would continue to combat terrorism with all its resources.
Gul said terrorism could be countered by mobilizing all resources, not only by weapons.
"Diplomacy is used when the time comes, and armed forces or security forces can intervene, or some other elements are mobilized to win our people in regions facing terrorism when the time comes," the president said.
Gul said economic, social development, and cultural activities were a part of fight against terrorism.
President Gul defined eradication of terrorism as Turkey's priority, and said all countries should be in solidarity to counter terrorism.
Gul said neighboring countries, allies and other countries should help Turkey.
