Turkish secularist party leader heads to Brussels

Main secularist opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu left for Brussels on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters at Ankara's Esenboga Airport prior to his departure, Kilicdaroglu said that he would meet with EU officials and convey CHP's views about the EU.

He added that EU's current position, foreign policy and security policy would also be discussed during the meetings.

We will also get information about the recent developments in the EU, said Kilicdaroglu.

CHP's deputy chairman Haluk Koc, deputy secretary general Gulsun Bilgehan Toker and CHP's representative in Brussels Kader Sevinc are accompanying Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
