The 63-person “Wise People Delegation” created in order to explain the process of the withdrawal of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) from Turkey have begun to prepare their reports based on their travels throughout Turkey.
Their reports will include the questions, concerns and requests of citizens about the solution process of negotiations between the PKK and the government.
The draft reports will be presented to the Prime Minister and leaders of the parties in Parliament.
The Wise People Delegation which met with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on April 4 have been travelling around Turkey for a month.
The reports will be presented to Prime Minister Erdogan in the month of May.
The main headings in the report regarding the withdrawal process are as follows:
-How will my [PKK member] child return home from the [Qandil] mountains? Will the state forgive my child?
- Will I be saved from fearing my child may be killed when he leaves for compulsory military service?
