Americans invade Denmark's virtual world

World Bulletin / News Desk

American hackers have attacked a virtual replica of Denmark which was created for the Minecraft game, blowing up buildings and erecting U.S. flags.

The virtual world designed by Denmark's state-owned Danish Geodata Agency (DGA) was partially destroyed by the cyber vandals, which dismissed the damage as 'minor' and done for attention.

Hackers exposed a flaw in the design of the game, which bans the use of virtual dynamite, after they discovered they could be detonated when placed in mining carts.

The damage was quickly repaired by some of the 220,000 users who have downloaded the virtual world so far this month.
