Center for Education and Research in Medicine, Ecology and Sociology (CERMES) is organizing a conference "Play safe" as part of a project under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications, with the theme of safety of children on the Internet.
Online conference starts on Saturday.
Children, parents and doctors will be able to follow the conference online. The aim of the project is to draw attention to the dangers of content, social networks, behavior on the Internet, but with the emphasis on the benefits of Internet technology.
"The main theme of the conference is safety of children on the Internet. As most of us are doctors, we will pay attention to what the dangers are, but we will do our best to observe the positive side of the Internet, and how we can protect ourselves and improve our own lives with the help of the Internet," said project coordinator Dubravka Nikolovski.
The project includes a national competition in elementary and secondary schools, as well as talents aged 13-18 years in the categories for best computer game, literary work, art work, a Power Point presentation, poster, photograph and most beautiful school exhibition.
