Baile Zhang, assistant professor of physics at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, unveiled the above “invisibility cloak” earlier this week at TED2013.

Zhang says he created the cloak just for fun and says it is made out of two pieces of optical crystals that, when brought together, bend light and suppress shadows, giving the illusion of nothingness.

Above, watch as Zhang places the cloak over a rolled up pink Post-it note, and then watch that Post-it note disappear.
