Twenty-five mid-level managers have been charged with reckless killing in connection with an elevator accident which cost the lives of 10 workers in Istanbul on September 6, an Istanbul court announced Monday.
The trail will begin on December 24, 2014, the court said.
The 10 workers died after an elevator plunged to the ground from the 32nd floor of a large construction site in the city's Mecidiyekoy commercial district.
Prosecutor Erdal Bagci filed the charges last month. He requested jail terms ranging from between two-and-a-half to over 22 years.
He dismissed charges against nine other people, including the owners of the construction site, Aziz Torun.
