Police arrested at least 7 suspects in Istanbul on Tuesday for their alleged links to the ISIL terror group, according to security sources.
The suspects were allegedly trying to recruit new members and spreading terror propaganda, said the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
They were also accused of soliciting money in Sultanbeyli district of the city and providing financial support to the families of jailed ISIL terrorists, the sources added.
More than 300 people have been killed in ISIL-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bombings, rocket and gun attacks.
Turkish security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to thwart ISIL threat.
