Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said it is "arrogant" for the Israeli government to denounce the recent Paris attacks after the Israeli army’s deadly operation in Gaza that left more than 2,600 people dead.

“It is sheer arrogance for those who have on their hands the blood of children playing on the beach to condemn terrorism," Erdogan said Friday in reference to the Israeli government's condemnation of the Paris attacks.

Erdogan, who was speaking at the new presidential palace in Ankara during a meeting with young entrepreneurs, said he specifically cursed the Israeli government - not the Israeli people - and held it responsible for the deadly operation on Gaza.
