A massive fire broke out early Thursday in a factory in Istanbul's European side, Metropolitan Municipality said.

The blaze started at an open pallet storage area and it engulfed two other factories nearby.

The cause of the fire was yet unknown. 

Nearly 200 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
