Poland seeks Turkey as a strategic economic partner in Europe, Poland's top official said in a business forum held in Ankara on Friday.
The Turkish-Polish Business Forum held by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and top governmental institutes hosted top ministerial officials including Nihat Zeybekci, Economy Minister of Turkey and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Janusz Piechocinski as well as many officials from TOBB and the Foreign Economic Relations Board.
In his keynote speech, Piechocinski said, that among the 86 countries that he has made an official visit to recently, he sees Turkey and Poland as the shining stars of economic activity in Europe.
“We would like Turkish investors to see Poland as a hub to enter the European market and we see Turkey as a worthy partner for extensive cooperation in all areas including mining, railway systems, food industry, research and development and education,” he said.
Piechocinski urged the two countries to participate in joint-investments as the time for simple cooperation has passed among trustworthy economic partners.
