Trees planted in Ankara to commemorate Peshawar school victims

To pay homage and commemorate the schoolchildren and staff killed in an attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School tree plantation ceremony held in Turkey's capital Ankara.

The Mayor of Kecioren Multiplicity of Ankara, Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and its Youth Wing members and Pakistan Embassy officials planted trees, as they condemned the attack and said nothing can justify such a brutal and inhuman act.

Defence Attache of Pakistan Air Commodore Abbas Ghumman appreciated the kind gesture of the Turkish people. “No two nations share their grief and sorrow as deeply as Turkey and Pakistan do,” said Mr. Abbas Ghuman. 

The forest which the tree plantation took place is spread over an area of 300,000 square meters and was earlier inaugurated by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
