Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party lawmaker Emrehan Halici resigned from his party on Saturday.

MP from Turkey's capital, Ankara, Halici submitted his resignation letter to the headquarters of his party, known by the initials CHP.

Halici joined CHP in 2010. He was the deputy party chairman responsible for information technologies.
