Turkish security forces killed, captured or detained 80 terrorists last week in nationwide operations, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

It said 68 terrorists were killed, six others were captured and six more surrendered to the security forces.

Turkish forces conducted 1,476 operations against terrorist organizations between Oct.30 and Nov. 6, a ministry statement added.

A total of 974 suspects were arrested over alleged links to terrorist organizations such the PKK, Daesh, the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) and far-left organizations.

The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.

Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children.

Ankara accuses FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen of having orchestrated the defeated coup attempt of July 15, 2016, which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.

In just over 2,500 anti-narcotics operations across 77 Turkish provinces, the security forces seized drugs, smuggled tobacco and fuel. A total of 3,350 suspects were arrested during these operations, according to the statement.

As part of cybersecurity operations, legal action was taken against 169 people.

In a crackdown on illegal migration, 3,670 undocumented migrants -- including 943 in Turkish waters -- were held while 135 suspects who allegedly aided them were arrested, the statement added.
