Exports of Israeli-made weapons and military technologies totalled nearly $7.5 billion in 2012, Israeli Defense Ministry said in a report.
"We are the 10th country in defense industry exports, worldwide. We are at the 5th place at the rankings by development and export of arms industry supported with a technological infrastructure," Israel's Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon has said.
The report also covered relations between Turkey and Israel, citing efforts to mend ties with Ankara. It said Israeli defense contractors were hopeful to compete in military tenders in Turkey and sign new contracts.
Military expert Wazif Erekat told the Anadolu Agency that Pacific and South Asian countries, and India and Azerbaijan were the top clients for Israel-made weapons.
"Israel will shift it's arms export to other countries, for example Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Turkey and also to countries in Asia, Europe and Africa," Erekat said.Last Mod: 26 Temmuz 2013, 17:13
