Fevziye Osmanoglu was the daughter of Ibrahim Tevfik Efendi, who was the son of Sehzade (Prince) Mehmet Burhanettin Efendi, the son of Sultan Abdulmecid.

The great granddaughter of Ottoman Sultan Abdulmecid, Fevziye Osmanoglu, war buried yesterday in Paris after she passed away on Tuesday.

A number of her Ottoman relatives in France and Switzerland attended the funeral, along with Turkey's Parist Embassy Undersecretary Ali Onaner.

After prayers were held at the Pairs Mosque, she was buried in the Thiais graveyard.

Fevziye Osmanoglu was the daughter of Ibrahim Tevfik Efendi, who was the son of Sehzade (Prince) Mehmet Burhanettin Efendi, the son of Sultan Abdulmecid.

85-year-old Fevziye had spent a long time working for UNESCO's Paris office.
