Director General of Turkey's state-run air carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) Temel Kotil has been named as the chairman of the Association of European Airlines (AEA).
Kotil will perform this task for two years in accordance with a resolution given by AEA Leadership Summit which was held in Brussels.
The new chairman Kotil, speaking to Anadolu Agency, expressed his happiness adding, "It is a good feeling to be a chairman of an association of companies in Europe as a director general of successful company [THY]."
Kotil said THY somehow entered in European Union (EU) and underlined THY is a successful company and the essence of the matter was morale rather than cost.
